Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team in Bradenton, FL. The Medical Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and other medical conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood banking - Prepare and analyze samples, interpret results, and report findings to healthcare providers - Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform quality control checks - Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results - Collaborate with healthcare providers and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of test results - Keep accurate records of all tests performed and maintain confidentiality of patient information - Stay current with new developments in laboratory technology and procedures, and participate in continuing education and training opportunities - Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CLIA and OSHA guidelines Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field - Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized credentialing agency, such as ASCP or AMT - Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting - Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and terminology - Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment - Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records Benefits: - Competitive salary - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan with company match - Paid time off and holidays - Continuing education and training opportunities - Supportive and collaborative work environment If you are a dedicated and skilled Medical Technologist looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position.
